BREAKING:JAMB Adjusts Arrival Time for 2026 UTME First Session Candidates

ABUJA — The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a slight adjustment to the arrival and commencement schedule for candidates participating in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

According to a press statement released today, the arrival time for the first session has been moved from the previously scheduled 6:30 am to 7:00 am.

New Session Schedule
To ensure a smooth transition and better coordination at the various Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers, the timing for the opening session has been updated as follows:

Arrival Time: 7:00 am (formerly 6:30 am)

Examination Start Time: 8:30 am

Examination End Time: 10:30 am

No Need for Reprinting
Candidates are specifically advised that this change does not require the reprinting of examination slips. The information contained on already printed slips remains valid, and the adjustment serves only to provide a more manageable window for biometric verification and pre-exam protocols.

Important Note: While the arrival time has been shifted slightly later, candidates are urged to be punctual to ensure they undergo the necessary security and biometric clearances before the 8:30 am kickoff.

The Board maintains that these adjustments are part of its commitment to ensuring a seamless and stress-free examination experience for all applicants nationwide
