NIMC Releases Important NIN Update for Nigerians (A Must Read)

Important NIN Update for Nigerians!

Your National Identification Number (NIN) is a unique digital identifier issued after successful enrollment in the National Identity Database. It enables access to services upon verification, but doesn't confer citizenship.

Key reminders:

Service providers are to verify NINs upon presentation to ensure authenticity

-All NIN Holders must give consent for data verification and also have the right to withdraw or revoke consent

-Never attempt to access or possess another person's NIN or NIN slip

- Possessing someone else's NIN is an offence

- All Data Processors should adhere to the Nigerian Data Protection laws.

- Violators of these offences are liable to be punished under the provisions of Section 37 of the 1999 Constitution and applicable data protection laws

All verification services are now done via the NIMC NINAuth, a more secure, reliable and faster means of NIN verification application

Let's work together to protect our identities!
