Nigeria’s Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals has taken a major step toward becoming a publicly owned company after formally signing documents for its landmark Initial Public Offering (IPO) in Lagos on Monday, September 7, 2026.

With huge public interest expected, investors should be cautious about fraudulent websites, agents and social-media accounts claiming to be selling Dangote Refinery shares before the official subscription window.

The approved offer is ₦525 per share, and the IPO is scheduled to open on September 14, 2026. Investors should use only authorised channels and information contained in the official offer documents.

How to buy the Dangote Refinery IPO in 5 simple steps
